Traffic rules in Germany

Germany

For freight transport, Germany has the "LKW-Maut": a kilometer charge for the highways. The toll costs are usually between € 0.15 and € 0.25 per kilometer.

There is an environmental zone in a large number of German inner cities.

Access to these zones is granted based on the emission standard of the vehicle, and is indicated by a sticker on the windshield.

The Germany authorities are very strict about enforcing traffic rules, and they work with a points system for the driving license.
